This high quality beadwork flag or pendant dates to c1870 and is offered in excellent condition. Sometimes made for screen fronts this example has ropes suggesting a pendant and these these were often produced for hanging in churches or larger private houses. Either way the floral and decorative details are lovely and the turquoise and silver still work as contemporary colours. The beads are in good order and has been re-backed in new silk recently.
